This Week's Events

UPDATE FOR FALL 2020 SEASON:
We are happy to announce that we will have a football season this fall!   We will be offering our own Flag Football program for Pelham kids 1st – 6th grades.

Unfortunately, we will not be offering a tackle program given NY State’s recent decision to restrict football competition at the high school level and the subsequent decision by the Westchester Youth Football League to cancel their season.

Grades will be grouped together as they have in the past with 1st/2nd, 3rd/4th, and 5th/6th playing with each other.

We look forward to continuing PYF’s rich tradition of developing the qualities of discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship, and physical well-being on the football field.

Target start date will be Tuesday, Sept 22, 2020.

We will be implementing the following safety protocols and precautions (as suggested by the CDC and USA Football guidelines):

  • Temperature Checks Before Practice
  • Coaches will wear masks.
  • Masks will be optional for players.
  • Football gloves are suggested but are also optional.
  • Social distancing will be observed where appropriate during drills.
  • There will be the intermittent sanitization of hands and equipment.
  • Players must bring their own water and will not be able to share water with other players.
  • Mouthguards will be mandatory.
  • Coaches will be certified by USA Football.

Grades 1/2 will be on Tuesday and Thursday 6:00-7:15pm on the new turfed practice field at the Glover Complex. Cost is $50.

Grades 3/4 & 5/6 will be on Tuesdays and Thursday 6:00-7:30 pm on the new turfed practice field at the Glover Complex. Cost is $100.

Modified program - 7th and 8th grade:
If your child will be in 7th or 8th  grade this fall, they will play on the Pelham Middle School “Modified” team.  Sign ups for that age group is handled through the school.

Our Mission: To assist our local youth in developing the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship, and physical well-being. PYF’s main goal is to utilize the platform of football to develop superior citizens rather than superior athletes.
